HR Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

The HR Administrator, reporting to the Director of Information Technology & HRIS, is responsible for all administrative and clerical support for the HR department.  This role will assist in all areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to: onboarding, HRIS, recruitment, employee relations and compliance.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides backup support to HRIS and Benefits team
  • Coordinates the onboarding for all US Salaried employees
  • Performs pre-employment reference checks, background checks and sets up drug tests as needed
  • Creates offer letters and new hire packets for salaried employees
  • Coordinates with HR and legal to support immigration needs
  • Performs weekly administration of e-verify system
  • Assists with management of summer internship program 
  • Prepares and edits HR correspondences, communications, presentations and other documents
  • Orders supplies and materials for the HR Department
  • Arranges and coordinates conference calls, meetings and events
  • Handles internal and external requests for information, such as job verifications
  • Interacts with external clients and vendors
  • Organizes and maintains corporate employee files and other employment records
  • Manages invoices for HR vendors and ensures timely payment
  • Performs general administrative duties
Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing HR support
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • HRIS experience required, JD Edwards experience preferred
  • Familiarity with HR terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Effectively communicate with people in stressful situations
  • Must maintain confidentiality and work effectively with others including management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
  • Must be able to prioritize, plan work activities and work consistently and dependably
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and manage frequent change, delays or unexpected events


Physical/Travel/Attendance Requirements
  • Works in an office environment
  • Frequently sits for long periods of time
  • Frequently speaks, reads, writes and uses a computer keyboard
  • May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
